University of Westminster Head Coach Clive Castillo has once again showcased his exceptional leadership and coaching skills by securing his sixth BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) championship title with the University of Westminster Dragons.

Castillo, who has served as head coach since 2015, has established an impressive track record, leading the Dragons to a total of nine championships and six promotions in both university and local competitions. His sixth BUCS title represents another significant milestone in a career marked by consistent excellence and impactful coaching.

From the moment Castillo took charge, the university team demonstrated a clear upward trajectory. Under his guidance, the Dragons quickly advanced through the BUCS divisions, consistently reaching the podium and culminating in their latest championship victory. This achievement is a testament not only to his tactical skill but also to his ability to cultivate a high-performance team culture.

BUCS Premier Playoff

The Dragons have qualified for the BUCS Premier South Play-off for the first time since 2023. They will compete against the winner of the BUCS Western Division 1 Conference for a chance to be promoted to the BUCS Premier next season. Their decisive victory against City University, with a score of 83-48 at City Sport, secured the BUCS South-Eastern Division 1 Conference, the second time in three years Westminster has won the title.
