In a move signaling a new strategic direction, the Davao Occidental Tigers have officially appointed Clive Castillo as their interim head coach for the MPBL squad.
This decision follows a challenging 3–4 start to the 2025 season and reflects a broader restructuring within the team’s leadership.

Castillo recently finished his season as an assistant coach with the London Lions in the Super League Basketball, where he gained valuable international and professional experience. The London Lions concluded the season as the overall regular season champions of the Super League Basketball.
Coach Clive announced on his official Facebook page:
Grateful to announce I will be the Interim Head Coach for the Davao Occidental Tigers – Cocolife in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
I thank God everyday for making all things possible. I want to thank my family for their unconditional support. Without them this would not be possible.
