Clive Castillo named England Universities Men’s National Coach

Clive Castillo has been appointed as the new head coach for the England Universities Men’s (EUS) National Team, taking the reins with the aim of developing young talent and enhancing the team’s competitive edge in future tournaments.

With an impressive background in coaching at British Universities Colleges Sport (BUCS) level for over a decade, and a passion for nurturing student-athletes, Castillo plans to implement a comprehensive training program focused on skill development, teamwork, and strategic play. His appointment is seen as a pivotal move to elevate the standard of university-level competition while fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among players from different institutions across England.

What is EUS Sport?

English Universities Sport is a brand name for the England teams that compete in representative sport, while the overarching organization for competitive higher education sport in the UK is British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS). BUCS is the national governing body that organizes competitions and leagues for over 160 universities across more than 50 sports. These competitions are a way for students to compete at a national level while pursuing their degrees and getting active.
