Coach Clive Castillo has made his mark in European basketball history by leading London United to victory in the EYBL U23 SuperFinal Championship in 2026.

This historic win makes London United the first British team to claim an EYBL SuperFinal title at any age category, marking a significant milestone for the club and for British basketball as a whole.

For Coach Clive, this achievement holds special significance as he becomes the first Asian coach to lead a team to an EYBL U23 SuperFinal championship. His success not only represents a personal milestone but also serves as an important moment of representation for Asian coaches in European basketball.

Castillo guided London United through a fiercely competitive SuperFinal campaign, showcasing a blend of defensive intensity, team discipline, and an attacking style that enabled his young squad to compete against some of Europe’s top basketball academies.

Castillo holds a perfect 3–0 record as London United’s U23 head coach during the championship campaign. London United defeated Nottingham Athletic (UK), Hot Pepper Heat (HOL) and International Basketball Academy (ITA) to keep the crown in London. Coach Clive was also shortlisted for the prestigious EYBL Coach of the Year award.
